No one in my extended family seems to have any medical conditions even close to FM - except for my mother's cousin who has MS.

Hi April. I believe so, yes. There has been documentation that Fibro is found in multiple family members. I didn't inherit my Fibro from my mother's side, everyone, and I mean everyone, on her side has had cancer and died from it, except her sister, she is a cancer survivor. And I don't know that much about my biological father's side of the family, so I may have inherited it from there. Or I could just be the lucky first in the family to have Fibro! LOL

I just found out that docs believe that my son, age 24, may have Fibro. He will be getting all the tests run some time later this month. But for now they are treating him for Fibro. An emergency room visit, (he has no insurance) gave him a dx of "myalgia" since there were no official labs run on him then, they simply went with the symptoms. So, there ya go. If he does have it, he got it from me. Nice gift to give my child don'tchya think? (stinks) He is married with a one year old son. I told him that I would help him best I could learn to live with this, as I am still learning to do. I also directed him to these boards. Him being male with Fibro is rare, but seemingly becoming more frequent, and him being young is tough.

I hope you all are doing the best you can. I know in my heart you are.

Love to you,
tk
