Just wondering if anyone has had an endometrial biopsy, and if so, how did it go? Was it very painful and uncomfortable? They want to do it in the doctors office, but I cant picture having it without any numbing or anesthesia! I know it is worse than a pap (which is no problem for me, i dont even feel it), but how much worse?
Thanks!

If you are talking about a ECC biopsy I had it done recently during during my colposcopy and it was nothing, just some minor cramps that subsided after a few minutes. I had my LEEP today and she actually removed tissue from the ECC canal and I wore a Thermacare heat patch and it really helped. Dont worry, it is really nothing....your period is alot worse! You dont need any numbing anesthesia,,,,,trust me the injecting the anesthesia is alot more uncomfortble than the biopsy!
Good luck and dont worry!

I had one in the doctors office and I believe it is where they go all the way up to the uterus. I will not lie to you it was painful, the exception is that I have unusual anatomy. The one doctor who was a resident tried and could not get it, so then the doctor tried and couldn't get it until they clamped down on my cervix and moved it out of the way. It was over quickly but cramping afterwards. If you have never had problems with paps it should be ok, but like I said I am unusual down yonder.
Take care,
