A few years ago I had some overcrowding at the front of my top row of teeth. the usual procedure was to remove four teeth and align them all. As my bottom row was fine I really dint want to remove any teeth from there and leave gaps all around.
My dentist pointed out that the teeth on my right side aligned perfectly (top and bottom rows) and he said he could do a reasonably good job removing 1 tooth from the left. This is what i decided upon.
After the train tracks were on a while I noticed a "swelling" on the right side of my face at the corner of my mouth. I assummed this was caused by the braces rubbin against the inside but its now been over a year since the braces were removed and its still there. Also I dont appear to smile as wide on this side.
My too theories are:
Its caused by bunching up the teeth on the right side
Trying not to smile to stop the rubbing
Has anyone any ideas. Im really paranoid about how it looks.
Thanks
