I have a tooth in the front of my mouth that seems like it has some 'give' in it. My gums up there are a little sore, they don't bleed when I brush or anything. In fact I have a tendancy to brush a little too rough.
Could this be a sign of something bad?
Thanks.

I never noticed loose teeth until the dentist pointed them out to me and then i noticed them constantly, but after a good deep cleaning they seem to have tightened up. Even one loose tooth is very annoying I found. It seems like you use that tooth constantly for everything once it feels loose. With proper treatment, they can tighten up again but don't wait too long to take care of it.

:bouncing: An update on my loose tooth problem. Luckily it is not any form of gum disease.
My dentist checked my pocket depth with a perio probe, and then had me move my jaw forward slowly to check how my teeth fit. Apparently due to the wear of my teeth I am grinding my teeth when I sleep. They fitted me for a mouth guard, which I will be picking up on Monday next week.
They have alos suggested that I get braces to fix my overbite. A strange proposition at the age of 30, but since I want to keep my teeth, one I think I will pursue.
He said the teeth should firm up once I stop applying the pressure from grinding while I sleep.
Thanks for the posts and the help.

It is amazing how many older people get braces...once you go to the orthodontist you can ask how many. I am glad you found the cause of your problem and are getting it corrected.
Someone I know had braces when she was in her late 50's!!!
