View Full Version : Pain after a root canal

I had a crown placed over one of my molars last year, and later noticed a sensitivity to hot/cold. Went to the dentist one week ago to have a root canal done on that tootk. Tooth and jaw are both bothering me now.

I never had a problem with the crown before, but after the root canal it did not fit the same way. I went back in and the dentist filed the crown down some. Still had pain so antibiotics were prescriped.

The bite is still off. How can this be? Shouldn't the crown fit exactly the same way? Still having a small amount of pain, and can't chew on that side. Jaw is hurting where the root canal was done.

Ideas?
