Whenever I catch a cold I find it very hard to get to sleep at night, is there anything that can help me get to sleep?
And is it ok if I go to the gym for an hour and a half while I have a cold?
thanks

It has been said that working out when you have a cold is NOT a good idea. So, I would say you should stop visiting the gym until your cold is gone. I use Nyquil gel capsuls at night (since I can't handle the fluids), and I take a benadryl. They seem to help me fall asleep. I also keep a glass of water at bedside incase I get a coughing fit. If you have any drainage down the back of your throat, use Claritin. I know it is expensive, but it will help and ease a sore throat. A cold lasts 7-10 days too. Get plenty of rest (though you don't need to be bed bound, you should be able to go to work just fine), take vitamin C, and take your cough meds (night time for sleeping, day capsuls for during the day, they are non drowsy). Hope this helps-and remember, there is no cure for a cold.
