I have recently been to see a eye specialist regarding a problem of reduced size of vision and a haze over my right eye.
I had photos taken of my right eye and they found a small hole that is leaking fluid at the back of the retina.The specialist said that it would cure itself and heal in about 3 weeks.
I am now on my third week and the situation has shown no improvement.Has any one else experienced this situation as it is getting very frustrating

I was also told by a retinal specialist that I have 2 small holes with some fluid behind them. He also said that they do not require any treatment and should heal. I have a blind spot in that area (confirmed on the visual field test) which is only blind in bright lighting - in dim or dark lighting, it is blurry in that spot. I also have a spot in the same eye that spins and spins but stays in the same spot in my eye (moves with my eye). I have been to 2 ophthalmologists, a retinal specialist and a neuro-ophthalmologist because I am so troubled by these symptoms. They all reassure me that my eyes are healthy, but I am not so sure about that!! By the way, this started in June and it has not gotten any better. The retinal specialist did not give me a time-frame of how long it should last, but I am going on 7 months now, so I am assuming I will have to live like this forever!! It is very frustrating!!

Thanks for your reply.I am led to beleive that you can get both holes sealed with lazar procedure.
I know the frustrating problems that you are having.
I think its worth a visit to see if you can get this procedure done....Rich

I go back in December to repeat my Visual Field Test, so I will ask about it then. How is your problem? What are your symptoms?

My symptoms are ...a greenish haze over my Right eye.My vision is reduced by about 60% .When I look out of my right eye the figures that i see are reduced by 30%.Left eye is crystal clear and right eye is dull and figures are smaller than the left eye which makes me a little dizzy and sometimes balance is effected.....Rich

Hmmmm....my symptoms are much different. By the way, the doc told me that the symptoms I tell him are not caused by the hole, but I just assume he doesn't know!! No one can explain the symptoms I have. From the research I have done here and elsewhere, it seems I have PVD (posterior vitreus detachment) or a retinal tear, but 3 docs have told me no. It is so frustrating. Everyday when I wake up I just pray it is gone!!! As long as it doesn't get worse I could live like this, but I am so afraid it will get worse or go to the other eye.
