View Full Version : Painless swollen lymph nodes in neck.

Halloa. I've had some marble-esque things where my lymph nodes are, thus I'm assuming they are swollen lymph nodes.

I know that if they do not go away soon, I should definitely see a doctor.

Is there anything else to look out for if this could be caused by a cancer?

Earl, please see an ENT doctor as soon as you can.

There may be other reasons for swollen lymph nodes, but they can be a sign of throat cancer.

I've had cancer of the vocal cords. In my humble opinion, you need to see about this, because if it is cancer the earlier you get to it the better.

Regards,
Bill

Earl,
If they're just swollen glands from a virus (other than mono), they should go away within two weeks. If they've lasted longer than that, you need to see a doctor. It could be mono or something like that, but it could also conceivably be cancer, especially if the lumps are hard and not movable.
