I'm new here and need advice badly. I've got lots of problems and today like lots of days I feel depressed and anxious. I am on Doxepin and I have a good doctor. I don't have medical insurance, we are living on a shoestring budget in a small town with no free doctors, counseling etc. I am fairly happily married. I say fairly because from time to time husband likes to argue and criticize or ignore me. Also his driving is very bad. And he managed to lose $40,000 in the stock market. He has major senior moments. He is 70. He had to go back to work to gain it back. He is sickly and throws his back out about every 3 months.

I have a job that I like but they don't give me enough hours.

I have troubles with my mother who yells and screams at me. She is 80 and is active in the community, but I think she has either depression or dementia. She too has major senior moments. She used to be a sweet lady and when my dad died she became angry and never got over it. I seem to be the only one she screams at, because the rest of the relatives don't mention it. It really bothers me that she screams at me. She even yells at me on Christmas day.

My sister won't speak to me because I left the Catholic Church.

I am a born again Christian, but I just can't seem to find the right church to attend.

I have grown kids but they live 2000 miles away and only get home for Christmas.

The things I have done to help myself is self help books, some counseling even if it was expensive, and Christianity. But I seem to be suffering a lot lately. I truly hate the holidays. I don't want to go back to counseling.

Any advice for me?
