This is going to sound so dumb...
I am obsesing over a guy who has Obsessive Compulsive disorder. He was honest with me and told me that it was too much for him to be in a relationship with me. He wanted to get himself straight. (he is untreated)

I can't stop thinking about what it might be that I did wrong. I have uges to call him all the time, which luckily so far I have been able to control. Our last conversation made it very clear that he needs me to understand that he needs time and to kind of be left alone. I told him this was so hard for me to get. Things were going great. I started to read these boards to try and understand what he is going through. I am trying so hard to respect his wishes, I really like him.

I was thinking that if in about a month from when I talked to him I would write him a quick breezy note that says: enjoyed the time we spent together. Sorry if I said some mean things last time we spoke, just hard for me to get. I now understand and respect your decision. If the mood strikes you please don't hesitate to call cuz it would be great to hear from you.

Is this the kind of thing that is going to push him over the edge and alienate him even more? Sorry if I am annoying you guys. (By the way if you were wondering, I am on 100mg of Zoloft for general anxiety (which seems to flare up when I have men issues) and I started counseling 2 days a week on Friday. (It was the therapists idea about the note./ I am obsessive so I am more than happy to do it)

Any suggestions?

the note sounds like a good idea, you could mention your own anxiety problems

Thanks for your response. I am going to wait a couple of days and send the note.
