I mean what do you think about this. about 2 weeks ago I noticed that my left leg was itching a lot so I scratched it and then a few days later I looked there and I noticed that it looked like there was a line of liquedy spots. They were not bumps cause they were irregulaly shaped, and they looked kinda deflated and it looked like there was some fluid in them and it itched. ( And this appeared in the area that was origional itchy, and I am wondering if you think that I transferred it here to my leg).
Now I am looking on my right leg and it started off as a small pimple looking thing now it is huge looks just like a big pimple but it kinda itches a little bit. I was think ing about letting it burst on its own but seems like it is taking too long and it get big then small again. I just looked again and I can see 1 hair coming out from the pimple and it just burst. I did not see what came out of it or anything. I guess the friction from my jeans when I WENT to lunch did it cause it was still full before I went to lunch.

Question is do ya'll think that it could have been an ingrown hair since there is a hair follicle that seems to be in the mix, or do you think that herpes could be to blame?? And for the first problem I pretty much think that that could have been H. I mean I have seen that same type of patch before and it juse seemes to appear and dissappear. Now it just looks like a scab with a dried up spot in the middle. Just wanted to see what ya'll thought and see if any one else has experienced this and what is going on. Another question is how can you tell the difference between a pimple and herpes pimple, cause I HAVE heard people describe them as looking like pimples.
Does anyone here feel as though their herpes is manifested as pimples???Large or small??

For me the herpes is more like tiny blisters, not pimples, and they always hurt.
In fact, a mild case of poison ivy looks a lot like herpes, but itches lots more and for longer, and doesn't hurt or swell as much. How long did the itchiness on your leg (in scenario #1) last? And did it remind you of your herpes ob's, or not?
I have lots of itches and bumps come up on my body, but none remind me of my ob's, so I try to avoid classifying them as herpes. Hopefully this is just a case of you being a little over-sensitive and worried.

I've had the same worries that you have about pimples appearing to be herpes. I know it's hard to tell the difference. But here's some good news i went to the doctor and showed him the alleged potential herpes bumps and he said they were just pimples.
In fact, i did this like 2 or 3 times and the same diagnosis. So i've calmed down since my last visit and I don't worry as much unless I find more traditional obvious signs such as burning oozing clusters etc.
So, there's a good chance that what you've seen are just pimples or irritations not caused by herpes.

Well yeah it kinda reminded me of it because it was that distant itching like you can be doing something else and you have that little tingeling feeling so that is why I assumed that. I itched for about 3-4 days I wanna say I dont' completly remember right now. And about the other bump it seems as if it is going down now. I plucked the hair out with some tweezers, so well will seel how the thing heals. I hope they are just pimples but who gets pimples on their leg. Really I don't have any acne problems I barely get them on my face and when I do you know what I think that they are. But I hope that is the case, thanks ya'll for all or your advice. Cya

Well, I kinda had the same thing. My leg itched and without thinking I just reached down and scratched, I felt it kinda break so I looked down and it had broke and so I went and washed my hands, but it was there for about a week and filled up with clear fluid once more and itched to no end! Since then I have had like 2 more in different spots on my legs, I thought maybe it had somethign to do with shaving? New razor, new shave gel? I didnt think herpes, till I read what you wrote. Hummmm.

well hey who knows and right now the way I feel who cares I get so sick and tired of thinking that every thing on my body that does not seem "normal" is herpes. I get so mad at my self sometimes for letting this crap take over my life my day my every thing. Sometimes herpes really steals my joy....every thing could be going right in my life and the only thing that is wrong is the herpes. Really when I calm my self down abd think about it even if I did not have herpes there would always be something...I mean I act like before I had herpes every thing was honkey-dorey wich it was not so hey I guess I am just beating my self up and picking up the pieces. Thanks for being there Kierstyn nice to have some one who kinda sorta knows what I am talkin' bout Willis ( had to do that had to laugh) catch ya later.

Warrning this will get a tad bit graphic!!!!!
Well folks heres the up date I was in the tub and I had shaved a fwe days before and I noticed another bump like this one and I was so scared but then I thought hey I think that I see a hair in here so I only do this to ingrows hairs I tried to pull the hair out with a very well seerelized needle after waiting for a afew days for it to go down. anay way as soon as I touched the bump with the needle it burst and there way puss and blood the blood I could see where it came from the 2 hairs that were in there and I tweezed them out and I have not had a problem sonce then. I am glad it was an ingronw hair that had gotten a little infected and not h moving to other parts of my body. Sorry to be so graphic...but discoveries like these are not made by hand rolling moms apple pie. Thanks for listening.

My first few OBs were similar to blisters. Some of the later ones resembled pimples, or a small cluster of them.
I am sure people's body will react different to the virus and looking different over time. I suggest get a test of full proof, possibly closest to when you notice those pimples. Additionally, you may want to follow up on the test to ensure.
Personally, I notice that the irritation from an OB is not similar to that of an ingrown hair. Testing may be your best measure.

I agree, get them swabbed and cultured so that you can at least know for sure what they are.

I shave alot down there. There is this little area that has been there for a long time that always looks like there are ingrown hairs in it. Seems to have a constant red *** scar on it. Anyway I shaved recently and started really itching down there and when i looked at that area that pimple looking ingrown hair thing looked open and like it was gonna bleed, when i squeezed a llittle clear fluid came out. Now this is a pimple or ingrown hair that kinda never changes, it's like a constant ingrown hair or what looks likeone and igyou irratate it it will bleed etc,,,
does thatsound like an OB? Or just an ingrown hair ?
My OB's usually are on the tip top part of my outter vagina and it really itches red and looks like a cluster of blisters

Well with me experiences now I really have not had any type of fluid come out with an ingrown hair. What I usually do with an ingrown hair is to first look to see if I can see or feel any hair, then I will sterlize a needle with a match then some alchol. Then I take the needle and only pull up the hair that seems to be trapped and that is all. Then I use twezzers to pull out the ingrown hair then use some peroxide or alchol to clense the area. Make sure that you wash your hands really good cause you do not want to transfer any germs. Now that's just what I do for ingrown hairs in that area. I am thonking about waxing to eximinate to bumps.

Lotuslilgirl, i understand what you are saying. My ob's have been centred in the same area, but then i might feel an itch for a moment or see something which looks like a red spot and i panic that the ob's are moving to a new location. When i first was diagnosed i used to look at the entire area with a mirror and a lamp each night. In the end i gave up as it's no use getting paranoid. Now i'll take a quick look once in a while, but have stopped myself from going overboard. I think back to when i had no herpes and i'd get the odd itch or maybe slight redness once in a while or a small pimple or bump from waxing and i was ok with it then so figured i should calm down about it all now unless there was extreme pain, discomfort, itching etc. I guess it's a matter of learning the difference between something out of the ordinary and an actual ob.
For me personally, if i were bothered about a certain bump etc, i'd have it swabbed for peace of mind. If you constantly shave, then it could very well be an ingrown. I've had the odd ingrown which was deep under the skin and all i could feel was a small lump. If it's an ingrown you need to apply a drawing ointment, which draws the hair upwards. There's an awful and smelly ointment called Icthammol Ointment which is pretty good on ingrowns. Otherwise, as i said, get it swabbed for the correct analysis.

You mean with the pimples or with the ingrowns? Ihave not gotten anything swabbed but I know that this is herpes I REMEMBER someone saying that their privates broke out with the little small pimple like bumps. I never had this happen till about 6-7- months ago like after I met this guy. So it may be somethingelse but for now until I get an extra $100 or so to have it swabbed that is what I will be operating on.

$100 for a swab. Wow, that's unbelievable!!!!!! Correct me if i'm wrong, but Anna you are in the USA? I can't believe how expensive everything is over there and how bad a system is in place, especially when it comes to std's. Here in Australia, so much of that stuff is totally free. That includes testing, seeing a doctor and getting counselling.
I'd be saving every cent possible and getting the required tests asap b/c you could stressing over nothing. Nothing worse than not knowing for sure what it is. I hope all goes well, let us know ok.

well I was exagerating on teh price but I know it will be 57$ off the bat to step foot into the office It will probally be about 3-50 I am assuming to get it swabbed. But my thing is that I was kinda unsure before about which one it was but ny gut tells me that herpies is what it is so I am like why should I EVEN BOTHER TO GET IT SWABBED. I mean I had the genital breakouts years ago and I did not just imagine all of these symptoms and I fell like I knwo now. But what do ya'll think what are the advantages of getting it swabbed now?? The only thing I can see it knowing weather it is one or two and I think that I all ready know that because I have seen the same type in the above the waist region, but maybe I am just finding reasons to deny the fact that i ACUTALLY HAVE IT AND TYING TO SPARE my self from havring a licensed doctor tell me what it is when I already know but hey>>>>
no I have not had any type of test to tell my that yes 100% you have herpes
