I have read that one symptom of fibro is rash...and I am curious to know what kind of rashes you all experience. In a previous post, I described mine as red streaks or lines...but they are comprised of little reddish dots and sometimes they aren't in streaks...just a few here and there and sometimes in no particular pattern. They don't hurt or stick up...just look kinda funny. I would like to know what kind of rash is being referred to as a fibro symptom. Thanks!

Hi Rorie
I have been diagnosed with FM and get a rash on each hip. Mine is small red dots under the skin, not raised, not tender. I had the rash before I was actually diagnosed with FM.

How long does your rash last? Mine lasts only a few days usually. And they usually occur on my back and shoulders and upper arms. I also seem them quite frequently underneath my bra straps, etc. Very interesting...I'm just curious is this sounds like fibro rashes...

I get these rashes too on my thighs generally. They last a couple of days but keep recurring at different places. they do not hurt, they aren't bumps. Just red or pinkish dots of about half a centimeter diameter and not very regular in shape. I think I have fibro, as I get thigh stiffness and sometimes arms are stiff.

Hi Rorie,
I was interested in your description of your rash...my husband doesn't have FM but gets red lines made up of little red dots too. He gets them on his back, shoulders, and back of his upper arms too, and says they don't hurt. Sometimes the lines have actual 90 degree angles to them. If you find out what it's from I would love to know, we have always wondered.
I on the other hand get itchy bumps, like mosquito bites, but I usually have several all the time, and all year round. Mostly on my arms but also on my cheeks, neck, chest, stomach, and lower back. Once in a while they get bigger like a hive but not usually. Sometimes they only last for a couple hours, sometimes a couple days, but when one goes away another soon pops up somewhere else. Stress and heat seem to trigger them on my face for some reason, can't figure out what causes them in the other places.

The only rashes I get are from hives and the sun. As for the hives, we don't know what causes them, I've had them for years, and I'm currently on medication for them that works very very well. I get them once a month, maybe, compared to AT LEAST once a day. (never figured out what it was from) As for the sun rash, I get it even if I go outside just to go get the mail or something. All over my arms and legs. It seems to burn sometimes, other times itch. And, of course, I sunburn in just a few minutes too....
Yeah, that's about all for that.
