Hi I posted earlier that my Husband and I are trying to conceive. I stopped taking my birth-control about a month ago and started my period on Oct 26th and was on it for four days like normal. I've recently started again on the 6th of Nov. It's not like normal, I have no pain or anything like I usually do. I know that when you stop taking the pill that it can mess up your cycle for awhile. I was wondering if maybe I could have been ovulating, instead of having another period. I've read somewhere that some women mistake ovulating for a period and I wondered if that was true? I've made a doctor's appointment for a check up to make sure everything is okay so I can start getting myself ready for pregnancy. Sorry if my questions sound silly :o ! if anyone has some information it would be great! Thanks Again Ashley H

I had the exact same thing happen when I went off the pill. I had my period as usual, then about 2 weeks later I had bleeding again...lighter than I normal period, but not exactly spotting. Yes, our bodies do just need to time to get used to being off the pill. After that one time, my cycle seemed to be back to normal.

Well for me, I went off the pill at the end of July, got my period, and then the next month would have been a normal AF (with out the pill) and the next month I got pregnant. So - it can happen soon or it can take a while. It's all your chemistry. To be honest with you - I was also taking the pill non-stop for 4 years (never got af that whole time - was OK'd by DR)....I thought for sure It would take me forever......it didn't. I am now about 6.5 weeks along.

Congrats! Thank you both for shareing with me. I think maybe I'm stressing to much about TTC! I guess we should stop trying to push it so fast and just relax and let life work it's on way out! :) I went from not wanting a child to wanting one so bad I try to get my Husband to have sex every five mins. :D Atleast it's fun trying!
