Some of you may have seen my posting earlier about my good friend that may have cervical cancer. She doesn't have a computer right now so I'm trying to help her get some answers.

-Is there anything specific that she can do to reduce her risk at this point?
-What kind of treatments have others had?
-What is the life expectancy if it is caught early?
-What are the statsictis for being completely cancer-free?
-What can she expect if it is cancer?

We live in Ontario, Canada if that makes any difference.

Any advice is greatly, greatly appreciated.

Krogger I'm sorry your mother is going through all of this.

There is plenty of information regarding Cervical Cancer, which is linked to the HPV (STD virus). But I've been hearing that a vaccine is coming up soon but in the mean time your mother can help by under going surgery depending on how bad the cancer is.

Did they say If it's high-Risk or just plain cancer? If so she might be able to do a cone operation to remove the cancer.
