annnnnnnnnnd im new to these boards booyaka. last summer my girlfriend was raped and given herpes 1. without knowing she gave it to me and now both infected. ive had one outbreak and hadnt had one since. its not fun having this but definitely able to deal with it and live life. but i have a question. i have two canker sores in my mouth on the side of my cheek. it doesnt seem like an outbreak, but rather a few canker sores. my girlfriend gave me oral sex while with her, and kissed me many times. these look like normal canker sores and i eat alot of spicy foods and drink alcohol like a normal college student. please get back to me and let me know, im curious about this possibly being oral herpes, idk. i like to think of myself as being very strong mentally and able to face whatever comes my way. someone please let me know what you think. thankyou

If you got canker sores before and know what they are like, and this seems like the same thing, they are probably just canker sores. But we can't really make a diagnosis here. If you are really worried, go to a dr or clinic while they are still there and get them swabbed.

Are they healing fast, like 2 days? They are probably not herpes. 7-10 days? Might want to get them checked out.

oRAL HERPES THAT LOOK LIKE CANKER SORES ALSO LOOK JUST LIKE AN OUTBREAK, 4-5 TINY SORES IN TEH SAME GENERAL AREA, IF IT IS JUST ONE, I WOUDLNT STRESS, BUT IF IT IS LIKE A BUNCH OF SORES INTEH SAME AREA, I WOUDL THINK IT IS BECAUSE I HAD THAT AND MY DENTIST SAID HERPES.

thankyouuuuuu for replying, ahhhh there are 2 in my mouth right now, one near my tooth and the other on the side of my cheek, and they have already healed except the one by the tooth is taking a little longer because i keep irritating it. i just keep stressing because i read someone that if you have oral herpes it can spread to your eyes. im an artist and i value my eyesight. i have hsv 1 remember, so this is more tamed right? well thanks again
