I have been taking sz meds for at least 15 years & I've only taken dilantin, neurontin, and tegretol. My docs over the years have never discussed any other of the meds I've been seeing listed on the board, ex - Topomax, Depakote, etc... I wonder why?

Some docs are just set in their ways when it comes to meds. They have their own thoughts about what works for someone and what may not. I also wonder if there is an element of "kickbacks" from the drug companies for certain drug recommendations. Hmmmm...
