Hello,
I have been having dull, constant pains in my stomach for the past week. I went to go see the doctor and got blood tests to see if it is my appendix. Today My stools were green in the morning. I am a male who is 21 years old, do you know what types of things could be causing this??
thanks

If you had appendicitis you would have severe stomach pains. This kind of pain normally starts around your belly button and will then re-locate to the lower right side of your belly and will become extremely painful. You would also have vomiting and a fever, but not normally diarrhea.

As the pain that you have is constant and dull in nature and the fact that you have green stools, would more likely indicate that you have a stomach infection. If you do, the blood tests should show a raised white cell count. You should also get a stool sample tested so that the bacteria can be isolated. This colour stool can indicate infection. Do you have a fever?

Whereabouts in your stomach is the pain? Is it above or below your belly button and on either the left or right hand side of your belly?

Just because you don't have a fever, this does not mean that you could not still have a stomach infection. Green stools with mucus in can indicate this.
