:bouncing:

It's been 2 months and 2 days since I decided to quit smoking for good! I admit, I cheated a couple times within my first week of quitting, but I stayed tough and DID NOT let those cheats ruin my plan to quit smoking!

I went cold-turkey, which a lot of people think is just too hard, but for me, it was the only way. I had tried the patch, the gum, the step-down method...none of it ever worked. With me, it's all or nothing. Cigarettes were no different. If I was going to kick the habit for good, I knew I needed to make the decision to kick them out of my life for good, immediately. In the year 2000, I quit cold-turkey for 1 month. At the time, I just knew I wasn't going to make it. It was no surprise to me (or anyone else, really) when I started smoking again. But this time, I just knew it was going to be different. It was time to quit. I felt extremely confident about it.

It's been 2 months now and I really cannot see me ever smoking again. I just have no desire to whatsoever. :)

Good for you dwc...You can do it because you have your mind made up!!!!!! Congratulations on being 2 months smokefree. I smoke for 33 years, ended up with a triple bi-pass, which my smoking contributed too, so there was no choice for me to quit. It was quit or die. I'm just 48 and want to live. You've done great, keep up the good work. Mama Kay
