View Full Version : Narrow stool: worried

I heard that thin stool could be a symptom of CC? But this word
"thin" is subjective. How thin is really thin? It may sound like a
stupid question..but what caliber should be considered to an abnormal
one? I'm a 30 yr old male with spastic colon(IBS)..I think that my
stools are narrow but not sure whether it is narrow enough to be
worried about. Doctor examined my colon digially few times but there
was no signs of blood. My hemoglobin count is also good (15.3 g/dL). I don't
have any family history of cancers and also this is not a big problem
in the part of the world I'm coming from (India). Do I need to worry
about this? Thanks

A normal stool according to what I read should be tubular in shape and about the diameter of a quarter.
