Hi, got my leep results today and my dr says she is not overly concerned, not the best possible news! I return in 3 months. I cant make heads or tails out of this report! HELP!!! There is 4 samples. Here it goes
DIAGNOSIS:
1) Moderate squamoud dysplasia Cin 11 showing focal involvement of the endocervical surgical excision margin, ectocervical surgical margins are not involved, LEEP cervical cone biopsy at 5:00
2) Endocervix showing moderate squamous dysplasia CIN II with involvement of one surgical margin, submitted as LEEP anterior cervical cone biopsy
3) Cervix shosing no specific pathological changes, negative for dysplasia,
4) Endocervix shwoing no specific pathologic changes, currettings, ECC.
MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION
1) sections of Part A show cervix prdeominantly endocervix, but including portions of the transormatiuon zone an ectocertix, there is scattered stromal chronic inflammation and acute hemorrhge. No squamous dysplasia is seen
2) Sections of Part B show fragments or unremarkable endocervix without dysplasia or carcinoma
3) Sections of Part C including multiple deeper sections completely trhough block C2 are examined.these show cervixindluding trasformation zone with squamous dysplasia characterized by enlared, crowded, pleomorphic nuclei with increassed mitosis. There is a FOCAL INVOLVEMENT of the endocervical margin. Ectocervical margins are not involved.
$) Sections of Part D including multiple deeper sections completely through the block show endocervix without attached ectocervix. There is a focal area of squamous dysplasia extending to the mid third of squamous epithelium. Cyplasia FOCALLY extends to ONE surgical excision Margin.
A) endocervix
B) ECC
C) Cervix 5:00
D) cervix anterior
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!!! Anyone know what a indefinite margin,
a focally extending margin to one surgical excision margin is??????
Any help helping me understand is GREATLY appreciated!!!
