HI!
Long story short...... Lymes test came back with a potitive strip..... saw a rematologist and he says I have fibromyalgia and possibly Lymes.... now I see an infectious disease Dr.... any who, he reccomended me to take Trazodone..... kinda scary stuff.... any one here have good luck with it helping them with their pain and sleep?
I also was DX (in 2003) with IC (bladder disease) so I take a lot of stuff for it too.

Hi.....i took trazadone back in '89 with I was first dx., with Fibro and CFS. I took it at bedtime just for sleeping was all and not for pain. I was on a low low dose.... Stayed on it for like almost 10yrs, then after my divorce and his snoring didn't keep me awake it seemed i slept Ok on my own. But now with all these other ' health issues' I have been facing I have thought about taking it. I am still awake and used to be in bed by 10pm.... Hate it when my days and nights get messed up....peace, blessings and prayers, shauna :angel:

Trazadone....I remember taking that drug a few years back. I was given it for sleep and Bi Polar Disorder. My dosage (which seems like a lot) was 400 mg at night....from what I can remember it worked, but I got an extreme hangover feeling the day after.....and the symptoms never subsided. My sister took it for sleep, in a 50 mg dose, she got the same reaction. I have a friend who swears by it and wouldn't take anything else.....Hope it works for you. Please keep us posted.

oh ps. If taken in the low dose like I was I think it was 25, and sometimes I took only 12.5 after splitting in half. I had to go to a ENT doc for an ear infection and when listed my drugs he smiled and said my wife takes this for sleeping as well. i thouogh he would think I was mental, but with the lose dose, guess he knew it was for sleeping. hope that helps you more. Thanks... my prescription says 50 mg can take up to 2 a night.... I took one at 50mg last night (I spent my whole day photographing a wedding so my body was all tried and achy any ways) I can't say I slept good right away.... I find I do my best sleeping when I sleep on the air mattress next to our bed as my DH moves to much and I am such a light sleeper..... during my whole pregnancy I slept there to!

:wave: Hi......I always took it like 1hr before bedtime to 1/2hr before. when I started getting a fuzzy feeling I went to sleep. once up and showered I felt great on the low dose so there was no hang over per say. here again I am sure it was for the low dose...Good luck, peace, blessings and prayers, shauna :angel:
