I was diagnosed with hypertension a month ago when my bP was 220/110 and the doctor recommended me taking 4 different types of drugs and now my blood pressure is going down to 130/75.
I have reently bought a stepper exercising machine and whenever I exercise for five minutes my blood pressure right after exercise becomes 180/80 and then statrs going down to 130/75
my systolic reading right after the exercise increase but my diastolic reading stays the same after the exercise?
Would having the diastolic blood pressure constant after and before the exercise signifies a problem?
Anybody with similar experience?
Thank you

I have had a stress test and they constantly monitor the blood pressure. That is exactly what mine did and the Cardiologist said it was normal.

Diastolic is more short-term than systolic & will fluctuate a lot more with stress, excercise+.... just from my experience.

Diastolic pressure is supposed to change very little during exercise. It could be a problem if it varies more than 10 points.
