My husband and I tried to get pregnant for a year and a half, and eventually, due to my lack of ovulation, started taking Clomid. We used it for five months before I became pregnant...with twins! This tends to happen more frequently with this medication I am to understand. As much as I absolutely love my kids, we are ready for #3 and want as little medical intervention as possible, but we have been trying for a year now with no success, and my menstruation is very irregular once again. Are there any other women who have only been able to get pregnant using Clomid each time? I had a very difficult pregnancy, and we aren't sure if risking twins again is worth taking the pills again. I don't want my kids to be too far apart, and I really want another baby! Any suggestions??

Congrats on your twins :) Sorry to hear that it was a rough PG though.

All I can tell you is that Clomid is the "weakest" of the fertility drugs. The chance for twins is only 5%. I know you had twins but you were one of those 5%. I used clomid and now I'm on injectables (Follistim) which increases the chance for twins to 25%.
