Hi,
I am 25 and over the past week I've noticed a small lump in my right breast closer to the armpit...I finished my period one week ago which is why I've waited to see if the lump would go away...the area is tender to the touch and I have an achy feeling that goes from the area of the lump into my armpit...also some other aches behind my breast on that side...has anyone experienced this? Should I wait for a little bit before seeing a doctor? I had a baby 3 months ago and never breast fed at all.

Hi there,

Not to scare you, but make sure to get the lump checked out by a Dr and a test like an ultrasound or MRI. Don't let them tell you that you're "too young". I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 25 (I'm 27 now) and it took forever b/c many Drs wouldn't take my condition seriously. It's a good sign that the lump is tender, however. Malignant lumps are ususally painless. Get it checked out and you won't have to worry anymore!

yes definitely get a mammogram and ultrasound...I am 31 and have been diagnosed with breast cancer...Yesterday i had the second operation(first was a lumpectomy) to remove and check lymph nodes. My lump was very sore at first also..Please make sure they do tests.
