I have smoked since I was 16 yrs old and I am now 30. My dad recently just died from lung cancer and it was kind of like a smack in the face to me to quit smoking. I am very afraid. I have been taking zyban for a week now and tomorrow is my quit day. Please give me all the advice you can to get me through this. What do I do when I get a craving? Am I going to get sick? Am I going to gain weight? How long will it be before the cravings subsides? Am I going to be in a bad mood? Any info would be appreciated.

I quit smoking 9 months ago. I went cold turkey. I had quit quite a few times but never successfully. I did it this time! I know I will never light up again. I was moody and irritable for 2 months and I gained about 10 pounds. My suggetion is to get to the gym and just keep telling yourself "I don't do that anymore." Calculate how much money you save and have a year goal as to what to blow the cash on! The $1,195.00 I have saved has paid for my family to belong to the YMCA and promoted family time. You can do it!!
