I've had increasing hair loss over the past few months and after reading posts here I felt the bc had a connection to the depression and hair loss. I stopped taking it after the last period and I'm still having major hair loss. The depression stopped. Would the bc still be having an effect on me 3 weeks later? I'm on no other medication and haven't changed brands for any hair products in the past year. I'm really getting frustrated. I'm 40.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You want to get a full range of hormone and other tests to know your levels, and what numbers are high/low. Then you can have your dr pick a pill that would work with your levels. Yasmin helps lower testosterone and other androgens, so anyone with high numbers (myself included) woudl benefit from that - my hair loss from pcos has slowed with yasmin
BUT - if you have other levels that yasmin might put out of whack, it could definitely cause symptoms such as hair loss - thats why getting thefull range of hormone and other related tests is great, so you can choose the right pill with the right level of the right things in it ;) A gyno can do these tests but even better is an endocrinologist .
