Hi, I'm writing for my friends mother who has cancer.
She is complaining of constant fatigue and was wondering if it could be caused by her medication. She asked her doctor and he told her that it was not a side effect of the drugs she is taking and that there was nothing they could do about it. Here are the name of the meds:
Cytoxam 25mg
Amethopterim 25mg or 2.5 mg ?

Mica09-Yes,most definitely, this is a side effect of these medications. Doctors should be more truthful with patients.

It's possible that her blood counts are low, due to the chemotherapy, and that would cause fatigue. If so, her doctor can prescribe an immune system booster like Procrit, which might help. Procrit would only be indicated if, in fact, her blood counts are low.
