Hi everyone..
For me the Cymbalta is helping 1/2 with the depression, if that. As far as the pain, none. I am going to head back to the doctor to try something else. I had heard so much good about it, however everyones body chemistry is different. What works for some, may not work for others. I am taking 60mg and do know over that does not make a difference...so no use in stretching it. With the cost of over $35 a mo and the cost of taking estrogen, fosamax...etc... toooo costly not to work ) : Try, try again....

Lov ya all, Annie :bouncing: :bouncing: :bouncing:

Annie,

Sorry this didn't work for you. You certainly gave it a good try and I agree, if it is not working by now, it probably isn't going to. I'm going on week 6 of Cymbalta and am doing pretty good. The pain is there, but better. Some days it is worse than others, but mostly it's good. One thing that did not get better was my wrist and arm just below shoulder. I went back to the rheumy last Monday for followup and he thinks that is something other than fibro called "reflex sympathetic dystrophy." I have looked it up on Google and about half agree with him that this is what it is. At least he says it is something that will resolve itself without any other medicines or treatment....in about a year!! Oh well... we kind of get used to our pain!

I sure hope you can find something else to work for you. Surely medical science will come up with other treatments for this fibro thing as widespread as it seems to be. Hang in there!
