after coffee i have to go and certain foods.
also my stool used to be brown, now it is thinner and breaks up and is light green/yellow??

Shelby,
It sounds like the antibiotics have resulted in your intestinal bacteria getting out of balance resulting in a yeast infection. Also, coffee as well as the other foods could now be trigger foods that give you diarrhea.

I think you need to get on a water soluble fiber -- twice daily like Metamucil and eat a good brand of yogurt and take a probiotic supplement. This may re-balance your intestinal bacteria.

If you have taken an antibiotic for very long--- the yeast could be overgrown so that you need to be treated with an anti candida remedy or drug along with re-colonizing your intestinal track.

God Bless---Harry

Long term use of anitbiotics can cause your intestinal flora to be out of whack. See the doc about your stools to rule out C-diff and in the meantime and yogurt with live active cultures or acidophillis capsules several times per day. Your doc will be able to help you more once you get in and get a stool sample tested.
