has anyone had the pph surgery for hemm.
want to know the outcome of such surgery.

Hi.. I having been trying to post as much as I can on the new PPH surgery. DON'T DO IT. ITs a real gamble. My mother has suffered for years with hemorroids and finally she decieded to go for the PPH because she was nervous about the traditional one. She has been in severe pain for 3 months. None of the doctors know what to tell her except that it is a muscle spasm as a result of the stapling. She has gone to the top doctors in manhattan and there are no answers for her. Most doctors keep saying that they are still learning all of the complications that go along with the pph. Please think long and hard before trying such a new procedure. I too suffer with hemorroids but after seeing my mothers agony I will opt for the traditional surgery. My mom is an active 50 year old woman who hasnt been able to work, leave the house ect now. The doctor that did the procedure from NYU gave her a terrible regime of several pain killers that have caused stomach ulcers. BEWARE OF THE PPH
