I am 22 year old living with my mother. Every morning, she has to yell at me because:
1) I didn't wipe the basin after I use it. My mother have this habit of wiping every single droplet of water on the basin after every single use. I don't find this logical or practical. Is this reasonable? She kept a small towel beside the basin for this purpose.
2) My wardrobe is messy. My mother wants every single article of clothing to be covered in a plastic sleeve. Again I think this is ridiculous. And if any clothing is out of place she would get mad (even though it is MY wardrobe)
3) No strands of hair or droplet of water on the bathroom floor! She would get really angry if she found any of these. After shower I have to pick up every single bit of hair or dirt on the floor.
She also wants the bedroom door to be closed and LOCKED at all times - I have lock it and carry the key with me at all times, regardless I'm leaving the house or not. the reason for this she doesnt want other family members (who she is not in good terms with) to snoop into her bedroom.
There are other things she does and I've been putting up with this for a looong time - I just incorporate this into my daily routine without knowing it. I've spoke to my close friend about this and he thinks its ridiculous. I don't want to offend my mother but what do you think of this situation? any advice would be appreciated? I've tried confronting my mother about this but she wouldn't listen. The most important question - is this OCD?

she does sound obssessive, is she a house wife? Its known that because house wifes spend so much time home alone they get very obssessive about the way the house should look. I think you should talk to someone, like a doctor, and get some advise that way
