If you mean you are skipping your periods, yes that is okay.

this is the third time ive done it in a row, can this be harmful at all? or make the pill less effective? ive kinda gotten a bit of spotting in the last week, is there anyway i can stop the spotting?

No.

Short of switching pills to something containing more estrogen, the answer is no.
Unfortunately, if you skip your period too many times in a row, then the lining builds up to the point that it's not stable, and it starts leaking no matter what you're taking. Estrogen stabilizes the lining, so a higher dose can reduce spotting... but even that effect won't last forever.
Usually, physicians recommend that you not skip more than about two periods in a row, because you're likely to spot by the time you reach #3 (some women can skip three or more; others can only skip one), and also because they worry about a small risk of infection.
