Hello. I have been on my BC pill for over a year. It is a generic called Triphasphil (sp?). Anyway, this past month has truelly been hell. After my last normal period (almost a month ago) it lasted about 4 days (My usual time), I started the new BC Pack. There was no bleeding for a few days, but then I got my period again. It only lasted a day. Ever since then, I have been spotting constantly (sometimes a little, sometimes a lot). I will be starting another new pack in a little over a week. I havent had this problem before. I am hoping that after my next period, should be this week, that my body will have cleaned itself out completely, and I will be back to normal. Have you guys had a problem similar to this? Do you think its because my prior periods havent been long enough? Or maybe my BC pill isnt strong enough anymore?

Maybe this isn't the pill for you. You could always talk to your doctor about switching and see if that helps.

I think whenever you start a new brand of pill it is expected to have some "adjusting" which can include some inbetween bleeding ect.

There was a pill I was on, b4 the one i am currently on that i thought was great. Estropstep was its name. If you decide to switch that might be an idea. But again if you start a new brand there is chances you will have some inbetween bleeding. It just takes a few cycles for your body to adjust. Read the packet that game with it.

This pill isnt a new pill. I have been on this same one for over a year. Its always been fine.. I guess my body is just getting used to it or something.

if you have breakthrough bleeding then the odds are that your pill is not strong enough. I had to change pills because of this reason.
