Hi all. I have been reading these boards for a few weeks now and decided to post a ?. My husband has had back pain most of his adult life. Did the Chiro thing for years but only help minimally. Went for MRI last year that showed Stenosis and herniated disc. His back has been really sore lately, so he went to his back DR. and they did some xrays that showed some movement. He will go for another MRI next week. HIs Dr. recommended a fusion, he will go for a 2nd opinion to see what another Drs. opinion is. With all the medical advances I was hoping something could be done with an endoscope? He is self employed and the main bread winner so open back surgery with months of recovery is a scary thought! Any one have any Stenosis issues?
Thanks to all of you-

Hi....I am sorry for the problems your husband and you are having. You are wise to seek a 2nd opinion. The "movement" your dr. is talking about causes instability in the spine, and the stenosis will not get better by itself. The herniation needs to be taken care of, but whether it can be done microscopically is your doctors call. What about ADR?
