Do you have a regular doctor? Have you tried muscle relaxers? Normally I would say see a specialist, but since you said you can't afford it, I don't know what else to tell you. I am sorry. What about Aleve or Ibuprophen? Those might help you too in the meantime. One more q-do you have any health insurance? What about ins through your college?

If your parents have insurance and you are labeled as a dependant, you should be covered by their insurance. Have you talked to them?

I really feel for you. I myself am a musician (guitar). For many years I suffered with similar pain not knowing all the trouble I had going on in my spine. I recently had it taken care of.

Ask the question "Can you check to see if I have any Herniated Disks?"
Perhaps they may have to refer you to a spine specialist to look into it.
