Hi girls,


Two questions:

1)
Some of you may know that I have been very sick with the flu. DH too. I was feeling better for the most part, but I had a persistent cough. I went to the Dr. Yesterday because the cough has become unbearable and so forceful that I would even almost vomit.
Anyways, I had my IUI's on Monday and Tuesday so the doc would only put me on Amoxicillin and alavert. No cough medicine. I was told no Robitussin DM, which is the I actually need, but it does something to the uterine wall. So the Doc did not give me any cough medicine. I was told by the RE that I could use REGULAR Robitussin. Well, which one is that? The only one I could find that didn't have any letters is called Robitussin Guaifensin, expectorant.
I was trying not to use it until I got in touch with me RE. But last night I was coughing so violently ( DH was ready to take me to the ER) I took the Robitussin. It's helping, but not much. So Please help me here!!

2) Has anyone had blood tinged (pink) CM the day of and day after IUI?

I'm headed out the door - but yeah I had the pink CM both IUI's...and explain your robitussin thing to a pharmacist and have them get it for ya - they just have way too many choices these days!!! I told ya your dh was a "rock star"...lol. I hope you feel better and I'll miss ya too......

OK here's the story.

When I went to the RE yesterday they heard me coughing and told me to go to the DR. which I did. But when at the doctors I didn't cough naturally, not once.
I spoke the the RE today, and the Robitussin I have is good. But he expressed his concerns about how sick I am. He asked if he could call my Dr.
Apparently, my lungs didn't sound good yesterday (he had me take a pulminary function..which I passed) And he wanted me to come back on Friday if no improvement.
Now that they talked, I have to go in for a lung x-ray because they think that I'm at risk for a phunemonia (s/p). I'm not going until Friday but if my cough persists or worsens by tonight I'm to go to the ER.
I don't wanna be sick anymore So much for just having the flu.

Hi Doreen,
I didn't have any pink spotting after my IUI's but the RE said that it's normal to have some spotting after the procedure.
I hope you start to feel better and I really hope you don't have pnemonia....that really sucks :(
