Heylo i been taking the pill for one month only well 21 days and it says you've got to have a break for 7 days to allow your period to come etc
i havent taken it at the same time every day as i should have and ive not had any intercourse yet as im still a virgin
my question is, its the 3rd day of this 7 day break and the period hasnt come yet, is this normal ?

What pill are you taking? I'm on Ortho Tricyclen Lo and at the end of the pack, there's 7 placebo pills, with no hormones in them, that you take which onsets your period. My period usually doesn't come until about the 3rd day/pill. Give it another day and see what happens.

Since its only your first pack your body maybe adjusting and there could be a chance for no period this month. I would wait and see if it does come. I get mine on the 2nd or 3rd day. However, some women get it on the 4th day.

the ones i take are microgynon
and i dont think i have any placebo pills to take

so if i had my period on the 4th day on my break even if my period will last longer than the 7 day break i still must take the pill?

Believe it or not you may get to the point where you start your period the 4th day of your break and it is over before the 7 days :) But it can take a while to get to that point. If you still have your period after your 7 day break, then yes you start taking pills again. Sometimes I've had mine last until the 3rd or 4th day I've started taking active pills again.

Yes even if you still have your period still start the new pack. I usually still have my period when I start the new pack.

I am on Mircette and also have 7 placebos at the end of the month. I don't get mine until day 5 and it lasts until day 7 (pretty good huh?!) From what I hear you can get it anytime in the week of the placebos and once you start the new pack, if you still have your period, it will 'go away'
