i usually have no problems sleeping, my problem sometimes is that i wake up a few times throughout the night. However my question involves dreaming. I've noticed a few times, that I'm dreaming, and I wake up, and notice that if i'm crying in the dream, i wake up with tears on my face. or once i woke up and my dream was about me being pushed, so i woke up and my arms were hurting alot. Is this common? for your body to actually feel what you're dreaming? I never noticed this before.

I have dreams like that too sometimes. For instance, I'll have a dream that someone is holding me down and I can't move and then when I'm trying to wake up I really can't move. It's strange. And if I'm being strangled in my dream I'll wake up fighting to breathe.

My dreams, at least the ones I can remember, are typically so real that yes, it is like I am really experiencing them. I might wake up crying or frozen in fear or screaming, "Help, help, help!" My late husband had to awaken me from my dreams every now and then when I'd scream. Now one of my cats has assumed that responsibility.

sometimes I am being chased while dreaming and I wake up and its hard to catch my breath as if I really was running, or I dreamed someone is shooting a gun at me and you wake up and your heart is racing!!! I don't like these dreams at all!!!
