View Full Version : Odd symptoms!

I have an appt. this Tuesday, Nov. 30, but I'm wondering if I can make it until then!

It began about 2 weeks ago with pressure and a full feeling under my right rib. It's much worse after I eat, so I've hardly eaten a thing for a week.

NOW it seems to have spread to my left rib. It's right above my stomach, but right where I can feel my rib -- sort of behind it.

Has anyone had symptoms like this?

Is that the only symptom you have is the pressure and a full feeling? My first thought was gall bladder but I don't know if that would spread to the left side. If you're not eating much make sure you're at least drinking so you don't dehydrate. Products like ensure or boost are good. Those are what I take when I am having trouble eating.

Hello Seven Nine,

I have the same ODD pressure sensations...it started on the right side and now is on the left and right. PLEASE let me know if you find out anything. I can tell you that an upper GI barium swallow diagnosed a hiatal hernia a few years ago, but i'm not sure if that's what the pressure feeling is or not. Let me know what you find out !

thanks

Called the dr. last Wednesday night and he told me to take otc Prilosec, which did seem to improve the symptoms some.
Today I saw my dr. and she thinks it might be acid-related, although I have no acid reflux.
She gave me a stronger acid medicine which I am to try for 3 weeks. Then if the discomfort isn't totally gone, I'll have an ultra-sound of my gall bladder.
She isn't sure what it is right now.
