As a follow-up to my post about thrush, I am still very concerned. I know that one would not get thrush from HIV two days after exposure - I gave vaginal oral sex (as I got oral thrush - along with a fever). But what if your CB4 cell count was already low at the time the virus entered? Say, if it was at 400 when it entered, could it go down to 200 in just two days b/c of the HIV virus to cause thrush? Would it then be possible for HIV to have a quick effect (two days) in affecting the CB4 cells and lowering them to the point that you would get thrush? Or is that still too early no matter how low your CB4 count was to begin with? In otherwords, does it take the HIV virus longer than two days to have an affect your CB4 cell count? I am extremely worried about this. I got tested and the results come back on Friday. Please help me - I don't have a good feeling about this result at all.
