Hi everyone. I am trying to lose about 15 pounds. I am eating healthy and trying to excercise when I can. My question is about green tea. I know it is good for you because it is full of antioxidens and I also heard it speeds up the metabolism. How many cups a day really provide results? Also is decaf the same as the regular in producing an aid in weight loss? If anyone knows please inform. Thanks!!!

I think you have to drink alot to get the maximum effects for weight loss, like 6 cups a day! And no, decaf doesn't provide the same effect for weight loss, that is what I read.

Hello, They sell a supplement now called Mega T Green tea, in pill or gum form. I started taking it about 3 weeks ago, and thru no help from me (Halloween candy, thanksgiving foods, etc) have dropped about 5 pounds. I started taking it for the health benefits of green tea, the weight loss is a HUGE bonus!
I'm going to continue to take it, but start getting more exercise, and tighten up the diet, hope that I can continue shedding a little more.
From what I read about it, it's good for people needing to lose 20 pounds or less. And it's not a "quicky" weight loss route, but a more healthy approach.
Hope it works for you
:)

I don't drink cups of green tea, but I do take Shiff's Green Tea Diet Supplement which is Ephedrine free anywhere from 2 to 3 times a day.

I'm currently on the NutriSystem diet and I do notice a positive difference when I remember to take the sups from when I get lazy and do not take them.

My experience has shown me, every little bit helps, if even if it is just some placebo effect. :p

Good luck to all.
