 Hi i have been on the pill for nearly a year now. Is it true that if you don't take the period pills they don't come? I just wanted to know because i have never done this before and have been told it does stop them.
 Can someone please let me know? I just don't want to not take it then you know the embarassment if they do come unexpected... Thank you...

If you don't take the placibo pills, it does nothing...you will still get your period. The reason you get your period is because of the withdrawal from the hormone pill. I never take my placibo pills, they have no active ingredients. If you want to stop a period you skip the placibo pills and go straight to a new pack but most women can only do this on a monophasic pill. Hope that helps you, take care!

Are you asking if you should not take the 7 inactive pills, but still wait the 7 days before starting your next pack (as the previous poster assumed) or are you asking if you should skip the 7 inactive pills and start the next pack right away, without waiting the seven days?

as everyone esle has already mentioned, those water pills are jsut there to make you keep hte habit of taking a pill everyday. Some people find it easier taht stopping for a week before starting a new pack. Those water pills will not stop your period from coming. Good luck
