I just figured I'd ask this question....been smoking for 11 years and recently had a seisure. I was in the hospital for nearly a week and woke up with the patch on my arm.....I never smoked a lot, 1/2 - 1 pack a day so I figured it probably would be a good idea health wise to quit. I have been on step 2 (I believe 14 mg) and have had a hell of a time sleeping. I have been having horrific nightmares and restlessness since I have been on the patch. I leave them on for 24 and change in the morn @ 7:00am. Is this a strange side effect or totally normal? It seems to be working and this is the only side effect I have experienced....but a huge one! I am open for any suggestions. Please help me get Sleep! :yawn:

totally normal side affect my mom had nightmares on the patch she takes hers off 30 min before going to bed and reapplies first thing in the morning. You don't smoke in your sleep so you don't need that nicotine in your sleep. Good luck!

Yes, definitely remove your patch at bedtime. When I would forget and leave it on, I had nightmares, or just weird dreams, every time! They do work well, don't they?
