this is what my path report reads (my second leep) please let me know what you think???

High grade Squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN III/ Carcinoma in situ) present at the ectocervical margin in A1 and A2
High grade dysplasia present focally at the endocervical margin in A2
chronic cervicitis with ciliated metaplasia of endocervical gland (see note)
note: the high grade dysplasia is present at the ectocervical margin in block A1(1,2,3 o'clock) as well as A2 (4-6o'clock)and it is focally present at the endocerical maring in block A2

I understand for the most part what the cin III means. but i'm unsure of the rest of the technical terms. I know that I have to just wait until feb to get my follow up pap and colp. but should i be more concerned about the part that says chronic cervicitis or focally present at endocervical gland???
any comments please..... this was my second leep, my first one was just in april... but that pathology report was more basic/?
thanks

I am not a doctor but I think cervicitis and metaplasia is better than dysplasia, it is a step before, it means the cells are changing but it is not dysplasia yet but it has potential to be. Now, the endocervical gland is what gets me ...I am not sure but it seems to be on the cervical canal, which is harder to reach than other parts, but like I said, it is just metaplasia so it did not evolve to something bad yet. I am not sure but did you get the margins clear? My report came back with a lot of these terms but it said the margins were clear so even if you get a lot of bad stuff, the leep might have removed the bad cells if the margins were clear. You will be fine until January. I would relax and not think much about it and then ask more details on your followup visit. Natalie

I'm not sure about a lot of this but I had chronic cervicitis on my report and posted on here. Someone answered me and said that it's just an inflamination of the cervic. Most likely from the leep and dysplasia that was already there. I wouldn't worry to much about that. I'm sorry I can't help you with the other stuff. I would call your doctor and ask to help put your mind at ease if no one on here can help you with that.

as far as margins being clear, she said no they were not clear ( which is what she was hoping for) the other parts, that is what i kind of thought, i know i definitely have dysplasia in some areas, and was wondering if it sounded like it was changing cells in other areas...
