I have some questions about low progesterone.I have been trying to have a baby for 4 years. Some of my fertility issues have been resolved. Thanks to Follistim, HCG trigger, and Glucophage. I have PCOS. The only problem now seems to be that while I am ovulating, (finally) my progesterone level never gets above a 12...even with Prometrium. Is there anything else that can be done to help me? I am on 400 mg. a day of Prometrium. I am becoming so frustrated with this whole mess. I guess I am feeling a little sorry for myself too. (And poor hubby) Thanks for any answers you might have.

I have a friend who was able to get pregnant very easy but her progesterone would never go above an 8 so she would always lose the baby, this happened to her three times until finally on the fourth one they were able to stabilize the progesterone with injections and pills, I am not sure exactly what she was taking, she now has a healthy 2 year old boy and is expecting again, but had another M/C in between due to her progesterone again.

Good luck, I hope the doctors figure it out for you.

Chin up hon !!!!

I really hope everything goes well for you. A good RE most llikely will be able to give you some answers. They will most likely give you "natural progesterone" when you get preggers ... it's different than what they give you ... if you don't get your period... (I was initialy thought to have PCOS and was told this a bit ago). Anyway... best of luck and I really hope you get a positive pregnancy test for Christmas...

Thank you for your advice and suggestions. The only problem is that I have been trying for 4 years to get pg. I have NEVER been pg. Now RE has me ovulating and producing at least two good size follies. Leuteal phase is exactly 13 days long. So........could it be low progesterone making me not concieve??? If so.....why does he not start me on progesterone sooner than 7dpo? I think I am missing implantation. Do you have any ideas about that? I am sorry for the questions, but this has been a long time and thousands of dollars!!!! I can't believe this is our 4th Christmas coming up childless.
Thanks again girls.
