Hello, my heath food store told me Bio-k is a good probiotic because its live. What do you guys think, is it really better because its live ? Or are others better? I know this Bio -K is expensive. I am on my 4th day taking it today. I drink the entire little bottle.

All probiotic cultures are made so they are alive bacteria but most require refrigeration until you consume it. So you really don't know how it has been handled before you buy it. Yogurt you know is kept cold and ther are several that advertise they do not need refrigeration---PB-8, Kyodophilus and Primal Defense.

Also, they need to be taken on an empty stomach because stomach acids destroys alot of them before they reach the intestines.

I never heard of Bio-K ???
