I just purchased some acidophilus pills the other day, and I just wanted to know if these pills cause any unpleasant side effects??
Also, the bottle says to take them within an hour after a meal, but I have read on here that you are to take them on an empty stomach. I am confused as to when I am supposed to take them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. I take them on an empty stomach in the morning, and I know of no unpleasant side effects. In fact, they have cut my gassiness way down, and not to be graphic, but when I do have gas, it does not smell anywhere as bad as it used to. So I guess just good side effects.

Awesome...thanks for your quick reply. I am new to all of this stuff, and am, as of now, undiagnosed. I just thought that if I start taking these probiotics, they might help my symptoms. I just didn't want them to give me the big D or any other unpleasant stuff like that.
