The first is this. Whats the deal with taking it at the same time everyday? I usually have my phone's alarm set for 11 and I take it then but this past week Ive needed the alarm for other things and sometimes dont remember to take it til about 1130-1230. This past friday I was out with a "close friend" and we had sex. I just want to make sure Im still protected (yes ok so its a little after the fact but ya know).

The second is about traveling. Im from Phila******a, PA (EST) and Im going to London England in just under 3 weeks. How do I deal with taking the pill on the time difference. Do I take it 11 EST or London time? Also I will only be there from Sunday - Thursday. I will also be on the 2nd week of pills of Ortho Tri Cycline Lo

Ok thanks SO much!!

You should take your pill at the same time everyday so that the hormone levels stay as constant as possible over the 24-hour period. Being and hour or so late probably isn't that big a deal, but when it comes time for your trip to England, I suggest you try to take them as close to your Philly time as you can.

I've heard that as long as it's within 2 hours of the same time everyday, you should be protected; just do your best. I agree you should take it around 11:00 Phila******a time while you're in London. Have FUN in London!

I've taken the pill for 10 years and have taken it as many as 30 hours apart and never gotten pg. As long as you take a pill every single day, I wouldn't worry about it.
