View Full Version : Hemmorhoids

Hi all I'm new here but read just about every post on roids last night I could find!

I am trying to find out why I have hemmorhoids. I am never constipated and all my movements are soft. I consider myself lazy so I never do much straining-lol. I have frequent BM's so could excess going (diahhreah/loose) and excess wiping cause them to flare up?

Also, I use suppositories to try and help treat them. This may be a dumb question, but could suppositories be making me go to the bathroom MORE? It seems when I use them a few hours or so later I have the urge to go and it like CANNOT be held in. So therefore it seems like it making me go often is keeping my roid flared up?

I have read all the horror stories about the doctor. I am thinking of making myself an appointment. I am so scared to go b/c of the pain and also having to miss work, as I am so broke. I do have insurance but If I miss too much work I'll miss pay, etc. I'm also extremely embarrassed and so afraid that the pain will be bad but I have almost had it with this hemmorhoid. It's external, doesnt bleed. Just throbs like a son of a *$*%%! How do I know if mine is thrombossed?

IF anyone could reply Id appreciate that. I'm all alone in this... http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

THanks,
Craig

HI!!!!
I never thought i would be on the internet talking about the problems in my bottom http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif... but as well as you i feel a bit alone in this and very very confused.
I'm asking myself the same question about why is this happening to me because i have never had problems going to the toilet (not even now), i go very regularly everyday and with no effort at all. But anyway wether there's a reason or not the truth is that it is happening!!! but i still don't know what to think...my "little friend" does not bother me to go to the toilet and my BM are not painful at all but IT DOES BOTHER me if i'm walking or standing up for a while because is when it gets very inflamed and painful so i have to de off work...i don't know if this happens normaly...can you carry on with your normal life???? I have been off work for a week now just resting and lying down all day but it doesn't seem to get any better...i don't really know if surgery would be indicated as it is not affecting my bowel movementes and it's not bleeding...

Anyway, at least now you know you're not alone in this!!! sorry i have not been of much help

Hi Craig, You should go to the doctor because what you have could get worse. I just had surgery back there and am in my second week of recovering. I waited too long to get checked and boy, did they need to do plenty. I really wish I had gone sooner to take care of a more minor problem. I wound up in so much pain that I would have accepted absolutely anything for treatment to ease the pain. Please strongly consider going to the doctor.
