Hello,

I know this sounds gross but I have been having bright (almost florescent) green bowel movements. I have been having them off and on for a couple of months. There has been no change in my diet that I can think of. Any ideas what might cause this?

Bright green eh? Is there any history of gall bladder problems in your family, or have you yourself ever had gall bladder problems? I'm thinking that there might be bile in your stool. Also, have you been eating a lot of lettuce, or any green leafy vegetable lately? That could also cause your stool to be bright green. Finally, if you've been eating or drinking anything with green dye (think....green candy? sports drink? freezie?) these can also dye your stool green.
